Dewey's Book Reading Challenge

Dates: January 1st through December 31st of 2009

Host: Chris

For details: Click here.

The Challenge (put simply): Either read one book from each year in Dewey's archives or read any five books from her archives.

***Obviously, this is more than your average reading challenge. In fact, I prefer to think of it not so much as a challenge, but as a time to spend some time in spirit with Dewey. She is so loved. And she is so missed.***

My list of possibilities:

*Looking for Alaska by John Green

*The Maternal is Political: Women Writers at the Intersection of Motherhood & Social Change edited by Shari MacDonald Strong

*The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck

*How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff

*The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennett

*The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery

*Le Petit Prince by Antoine de St.-Exupéry
